Out with the old, in with the…unknown? For many of us, February’s bow into March means that spring is only a few short weeks away, but for Science Channel, it’s not so much about green grass and daffodils and as it is about UFOs, space exploration and eerie, unexplained happenings.

Science Channel’s Are We Alone? Week kicks off tonight, March 2 and runs through Friday, March 6. Now in it’s fourth year, the weeklong event explores the science, the facts and the fiction behind mankind’s most pressing question: with 40 billion habitable planets in our galaxy, why haven’t we discovered life beyond Earth yet?

Programs airing during the week include everything from world premieres to encore presentations of fan-favorites, complete with updated features. Highlights include:

    • NASA’s Unexplained Files: Life in Hell – Monday, March 2, 10pm ET/CT
    • What on Earth? Finding Sodom – Tuesday, March 3, 9pm ET/CT
    • Close Encounters: Hunting Season – Tuesday, March 3, 10pm ET/CT
    • Close Encounters: Alien Assault – Tuesday March 3, 10:30pm ET/CT
